Note: Third in a series of tangentially linked blog entries. -- The 'Pede

Today's tangent: Life's little banalities can be converted into brilliant TV. Case in point: Monk. Basic theme of episode: A robbery is plotted by an employee of a mega-mart department store (conveniently called Mega-Mart.)

A major sponsor: Wal-Mart. (Funny how the single ad aired only at the end of the episode.)

Oh, and best moment: Monk takes an obviously unloaded rifle from a display, aims it at two stoner store clerks -- and thus successfully intimidates them into handing over the appropriate ammo. There are times when I really like TV, after all.
