Most amusing observation of the day (baseball division), from Tim Brown of the Los Angeles Times:

"Like the Red Sox before them, the White Sox have a tradition marked by futility. They have not won a World Series since 1917. On the bright side, they have not thrown one since 1919."

There's a program/URL you can add to your blog that requires posters to copy a random series of letters. Victoria uses it -- you should check it out and think about adding it to the bughouse.

Wow, I guess Daryl is for real. I thought it was one of my friends joking.

I'd like to find an anti-spam utility that actually blows up the computer that sends the spam. Then again, since so many people relay their spam through unwitting hosts, that approach would have destroyed one of the computers in my own lab recently ....
